I’m in a little Revolutionary War fishing village on the coast midway between Savannah and Jacksonville. The nearest traffic lights are 15 miles south of me, 40 miles north and 35 miles west.

This is the coldest I’ve seen it in many years.

We have been sub 0 several times.

I can’t wait for spring.

This little Georgia town is wonderfully cozy and quiet, with very little crime. The only problem in the summer is the humidity and the mosquitos.

Good evening LUV and (((HUGS))). We made the very best pork roast BBQ ever on my pit today. Didn’t even need a knife to cut it and it was so juicy.

My only knowledge of that area is driving through it . When I moved to Florida in 1975, I-95 ended, IIRC, at or slightly before Savannah and we were diverted to US 17, which led through a lot of swampy areas around Brunswick. A much different drive today. A Revolutionary War fishing village sounds interesting.

I’m a few blocks off US 17. The old rice plantations are south of me, and one is a state historical site. With I-95 finished in the 80’s, it’s an easy drive to Savannah if I want to do mall shopping.

Have they taken you in?

Have you developed a taste for grits yet?

What about waffles and fried chicken?

I enjoy the southern food. But I’ve been on a strict diet since July to peel off some excess pounds. I’ve dropped about 20, and I still have some more to go.

You can lose weight on a southern diet.

Cooked greens 3 times a day. Fried chicken on Sunday.

Incomprehensible. Warmer in Alaska than it is in the south.

Taz...((HUGS))...good evening. You can send our cold back any time. It’s mid 30s and sprinkling right now. Are the girls staying warm?

Are most folks being respectful of the cold?

Main roads are ice free and sloppy wet. Neighborhoods and driveways, mine included, are all ice! I decided it was too dangerous to even put the trash barrel out. It can wait another week.
