Cuomo: ‘Extreme conservatives … have no place in the state of New York’
Capitol Confidential ^ | January 17, 2014 | Casey Seiler

Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the current “schism” in the state Republican party is a smaller version of the split causing so much damage in Washington, D.C., and that “conservative Republicans … have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

The beauty of this country is that all have the freedom to move from one state to another. if one state is too onerous, just go to another.

Too many who flee onerous conditions in other states bring their misguided voting habits along, and destroy their new refuge.

He probably thinks Marx and Engels were extreme conservatives.

“I’ve been seeing ads here in Michigan pimping NY as the place to do business.”

Yeah, it all sounds good... until they attach the tentacles.

Right you are. Almost all the problems we face are failing socialist programs. The “collateral damage” is the destruction of our economy and our liberty.

I am considering a move to NH but the proximity to MA and Boston in particular has me worried.

Cuomo has no place in our Constitutional Republic.

Cuomo has no place amongst reasonable people.

RE :”And property taxes to the surrounding residents. My aunt lives in one of the new “business districts,” and she is being hit with higher property taxes to cover the 10-year tax moratorium for the businesses.”

It would be funny of a GOP ran against one of these governors in lib states, NY,CA, MD, and ran ads attacking them for taxing the middle class and poor (like sales and gas tax increases) while cutting taxes on the wealthy (really the corporations but call them 'the rich').

From the complete article:

"Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are."
NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo

My views on the points he brings up?
Right to life - I have yet to find anyone who is able to refute the argument brought by the SLED acronym. Abortion is murder and does not become otherwise based on popular vote.
Pro Assault Weapon - golly, perhaps he meant to say "pro-Constitution" or "pro-Second Amendment" or maybe "pro-freedom". /sarc. Yeah, I know. He is intentionally ignorant, malicious or both.
Anti-gay - I am not anti gay. I am anti homosexuality. I am anti aids. I am anti pedophilia and anti life destruction. Apparently Andy is in favor of those things to the point he wants to spend taxpayer money to mitigate the results rather than discouraging the cause. Who knew?

I do agree with him on one thing - I don't belong in NY. But then, I figured that out for myself and left.

Best move I ever made.

I hope no one in MI is stupid enough to believe them.

Apparently you have no idea where Detroit is located.

My Dad moved us out in ‘65. I still remember Dad and his buddies complaining about the high taxes upstate and how all of their money went to the bums in NYC. Are you SURE it was “still good” then?

Using Cuomo’s logic, he and other leftwing freaks would prefer to live in New York. Yet his kind has migrated south and turned my state of Virginia into a liberal cesspool.

Hey, Cuomo, come get your gun-grabbing queer-lovers and take them BACK WHERE THEY BELONG.

The US needs to rearrange the State Boundaries in the NE(Northeast - New England + NY, PA and NJ).

Put all of the Libtard Cities into two states and setup up the country and remote burbs for the others.

A fine example as to why progressives need to be banned from holding public office. They are bigoted, racist, intolerant and take no responsibility for their actions.
