An Orange County jury Monday found two former Fullerton police officers accused of killing a schizophrenic homeless man, Kelly Thomas, not guilty.

Wow, complete miscarriage of justice, from what I’ve read.
Twelve idiots.
White folk will be rioting in 3, 2, 1 and a half, 1 and a quarter, 1 and an eighth...
Not too surprised
I am not a fan of F. Lee Bailey but he said something in an interview maybe 20 years ago which got my attention.
He said the American judicial system is not a good one. When asked what he meant, he answered that they often find guilty people innocent and innocent people guilty. From watching a bit of “Court TV” a few years back, I agree with him.
It doesn’t surprise me. Seems that if a cop is involved, the only way for a citizen will be able to get justice is to take it into their own hands...
That’s what it’s coming to, and it’s sad.
Facts without distorted media reports can’t be hidden in court.
Prosecutor probably over reached as well is my guess.
Break out the Champagne...
“Prosecutor probably over reached as well is my guess.”
That wouldn’t be my guess... My guess would be that the prosecutor deliberately threw the case to get a not guilty verdict.
When a prosecutor doesn't really want a conviction, he can over-charge, do a poor job convincing the jury that the defendant deserves to be convicted on that charge, not give the jury anything they could reasonably convict him on, and so the jury cuts him loose.
Why do people trust authority more and more at exactly the time they have become GANGSTERS...?
This is completely amazing.
Do u realize HOW emboldening this ruling will be to Bad Cops (which seems like most cops, now)....???
Yeah, this should make the little girl happy. A lot of howlin’ be goin’ on tonight.
The prosecutor was the elected District Attorney. Since several other elected officials lost their offices over the case, the chancees that he’d risk throwing it aren’t high.
Take a look at the testimony from Thomas’s grandparents if you want one factor that the jurors gave heavy consideration to.
This Jury must have been sleeping through the evidence in this trial because these So Called”Police Officers” are guilty of murder.
These Jurors had better hope they don’t have a loved one driving through Fullerton and getting stopped by these thugs because they very well may regret it.
These cops if they are not guilty of Murder they sure are guilty of Manslaughter.A felony in most Jurisdictions where the sentance is 10 years in prison.
If I were a Family Member of Thomas I would request a civil Rights Investigation by the F.B.I. because thomas’s civil rights were definitely violated under color of law.
This is just another item that indicates the crap hole California has become. Its also another reason why people will have No respect for the law and Law Enforcement agencies.
The problem with these cases is that no one is looking out for the people. The prosecutor is protecting the government’s interests, not the people’s. He brings a case because he is forced to do so, but wants to protect the government, the police in this case. The jury is inclined to believe the police and respects the prosecutor.
The result is that the police come to believe that they are immune and behave accordingly.
The British justice system is different in that the corner holds an inquest on the body and can act in the victim’s interest. The government can quickly become the defendant without being able to run and hide beneath the politician’s skirts.
Christopher Donner may have been a murdering psych case but I’ll concede one of his points-—the police are NOT about protecting you. Just consider that they are armed for self-protection, not your’s nor mine. Cases such as this should be ramming home the above point even to the dullest of citizens.

This is tragic.
