Is this somebody who wants to be separated from his family? I’ve heard of adults doing that sort of thing before; wife and mother of three relocated 10 years after disappearance, working under assumed name in north part of the state. Was he known to do recreational drugs?

I thought that he might have been picked up by an older person he met on the internet. Maybe some older guy from Providence talked him into taking a ride with him. I hope he comes back safe no matter what happened.

I’d seen this on a friend’s FB page, but I didn’t realize he was Jeff Jacoby’s son!

Geez...it only took the Globe 48 hours to run a story on one of its own (website, at least).

I hope this is true. Pray harder. I didn’t like the sound of this at all when I first read it, fearing the worst.

According to what I read on twitter, the reported sightings have been dismissed after investigation by police. Caleb is still missing.

Like you, I did not like the sound of this story from the first moment I knew of it.

:( Well...fear is not necessarily reality, regardless. I’m disappointed, but not hopeless. I can’t imagine what his parents are going through.

I am a Boston native but I have not read the Boston Globe in many years. Jeff Jacoby was pretty much the only thing of that POS rag that was truly worth something.

I hope that this works out well.

As I understand it, no dugs, no alcohol, no trouble in school or with the law, no romantic angst, good relationship with his parents.

I feel sick over this. Jeff Jacoby is such a good man, and he has had such an intense, heart-to-heart love for his son from Day One.

Pray, pray, pray.

The gaystopo often sexually threaten the children of conservatives who are active in opposing their sexual demands. Hope this is not the case here with Caleb.

It’s just been announced that, thank God, he’s been found safe in New York City. One blog says in Times Square.
