Winter of 1978-79 was particularly brutal, almost 90” of snow.... : (
I remember the blizzard of 67 too. I remember because of the thunder and lightning. I was a little kid and it scared me.
Indeed, the persistent cold didn't finally break until the middle of March 1979, which finally melted the snow, allowing the city to finally recover.
