CatholicVote.org is mounting a big campaign against Obama care. They are sending mailings out requesting donations to fight for Catholic beliefs and family values and to fight Obama care in the courts.
I sent them money. I’m not Catholic. My Catholic neighbors voted for Obama & Obama care. Go figure.
There are cultural Catholics who are not practicing Catholics, many of who are under the illusion that the Church is a democrat organization that they’ve morphed from our civic structure.
In the past two generations, Catechesis(proper instruction ) has been lost.
Vatican II was misinterpreted and reverence and order has been lost in the West- for now- for about half here in the US if voting is a marker
Every pres election 50% vote for the dem, not realizing the impact of abortion, for one thing; not realizing that the socialjustice and union/workers’ rights fall under the category of mixing relion and state and the dems work these unwitting voters like clay
They are catholics in name only, many through improper formation. The hierarchy expects lay people to handle the instruction
It’s worse than Thanksgiving where the coservative visits the lib family. There’s no instruction happening there
