Is America About To Reach A Breaking Point? (Patriots Prepare!)
Zero Hedge ^ | 31 DEC 2012 | Tyler Durden

Posted on 12/31/2013 9:46:13 AM PST by BCW

In America today, there are close to 50 million people living in poverty and there are more than 100 million people that get money from the federal government every month. As the middle class disintegrates, poverty is climbing to unprecedented levels. Even though the stock market has been setting record high after record high, the amount of anger and frustration boiling just under the surface in our nation grows with each passing day.

And now extended unemployment benefits have been cut off for 1.3 million unemployed Americans, and it is being projected that a total of 5 million unemployed Americans will lose their benefits by the end of 2014. In addition, as I have written about previously, 47 million Americans recently had their food stamp benefits reduced. The conditions for a "perfect storm" are certainly being created. So how much longer will it be until we see all of this anger and frustration boil over in the streets of our major cities? Is America about to reach a breaking point?

If you think that the title of this article is "alarmist", you probably have not been paying attention to what has been happening over the past few weeks. For example, a 600 person brawl broke out at at movie theater in Jacksonville, Florida just the other day...

Doesn’t mean it’s going to last...look at Katrina and N.O. - those people went crazy once held up in the arena....sure - they sit idle now...but it breaks — give it 8 hrs and see what happens....

Only a few are going to be even partially prepared for what is about to hit the fan.

For your consideration (Jump to about the 1 hour mark on each):

“Just look at some of the nation’s largest cities. Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Riverside, Calif., all have more than 100,000 idle youth, the Opportunity Nation report found.”

Just like in the middle eastern cities. And look at the riots, Arab Spring, etc happening over there.

The number one rule about prepping is not to tell anyone that you’ve been prepping.

Hey, didja hear that Katie Couric has a five-year supply of liquor and canned chili squirreled away in her basement?

How many people do you expect to be shooting at?

None. I’m thinking game. We have a lot of turkeys, deer, rabbits, and the other variety of vermine. You never know...

New acceptance of God (which needn’t use the “traditional” channels such as “traditional” churches) is going to be a must here, if chaos is to resolve in a constructive manner. Otherwise it will be unrest from chaos to chaos.

I don't get tired of hearing it.

Look up. Lean on God. And be prepared to be the one your family rallies around.

the perfect storm is to create a crisis so Obama can suspend the constitution and declare himself king/pharaoh/dictator.

All this poverty and on the flip-side government employees routinely retire in their 50s with gold plated tax paid pensions and top shelf medical benefits.

I know cops who retired at 50, with nearly $80,000 per year for life not to mention those top shelf medical benefits...

All while the private sector tax slaves and what is left of the middle class get economically gang banged by those in government.

if they need unemployment benefits for that long, then they ought to apply for welfare.

People taking those benefits are gaming the system rather than take a job they feel they're overqualified for. The problem is that they become less relevent and employable as that stretch of unemployment grows.

Cutting it back is a good thing. People who really need work will figure out that they should start at the bottom of the ladder with a company that promotes from within. They'll start demanding that invaders get out and stay out of the US and that tariffs protect our jobs. They'll get fed up with all of the restrictions to starting a small business.

What we have now is a two-tiered welfare system. There are the "haves" whose welfare is a larger check plus all of the freebees. There actually aren't that many of them, and the unemployment leeches aren't the type to start revolutions. A lot of them are too busy grocery shopping at Trader Joes.

In fact, reckless government spending and obscene government retirement pensions are bankrupting entire cities..

This will get worse as government employees think they are owed these lottery style tax paid pensions and benefits..

FWIW, for the Arab Spring to happen there had to be misguided religious fervor. Can’t see it happening here, unless religious fanatics take hold in fragile neighborhoods. Jessie and Al tried with the Travon Martin threats of violence, and nothing sustained happened.

“Boil over into the streets of our major cities”

Democrats, fighting Democrat city governments to get to Democrat stores and penthouses to loot them. Please pass the popcorn.
