Having to give up a down and adding 10 yards to the football field, I don't think would sit well with Americans.

LOL!!! Actually more than 10 yards would have to be added to account for the deeper end zones. Plus, the Canadian field is wider as well.

Do they (Canadians) have the same east/west coast elitism vs. interior flyover country problem like we have here?

Living on the Border, (4 miles from Canada) you quickly realize how open it really is. They can't control the border, it's all about the $$$$ not terrorism. People on the border have relatives on both sides, cross openly, avoid the border check points, and everybody helps friends & relatives access everything on the other side. I don't see much difference between Canadians & Americans where we live in the west.

The economy is better in Canada, course they pay higher taxes so wages & costs are way higher, my Canadian friends buy from mail order and ship to my house then haul it back home to Canada; lower prices. All my Canadian Friends have lots of guns, they seem to like their health care for the most part, seem resigned to higher taxes for the benefits they receive and they will always have better hockey.

The Canadian Indians are way ahead of their American Cousins; Canada forced them to get training 30 years back and they all have good careers; quite well off. In America, the Indian Villages are death zones; genocide from govt welfare, Indians going extinct. Lucky the Canadian Indians always give many gifts to their poor American cousins, no joke.

Canada & USA will always be tied culturally, economically, and historically. I like it just the way it is, thousands of miles of open border; only the tourists go through the check points.

I say we unite the Western and Southern States and Provinces, extending from Alaska to Texas and across to the Atlantic. The non-decadent counties of such decadent states as California and Colorado can also join. Watch the new, free, oil-rich, manufacturing-rich nation soar economically and in every possible way. Watch everything else degenerate into one big miserable, rotting, decadent Detroit.

Actually the reason for that item in the First Amendment is because some of the states wanted to have that power for themselves, as the original 13 colonies were safe havens for the various religions fleeing persecution from the crown.

I’m Albertan, I concur, however there’s more conservatives than just our areas.

What identity? I’m Albertan and more American than most Americans. I don’t identify with tree hugging, or being french, or anything else stereo typical. I only love freedom and want to be with others who do as well.

They just dropped all limits on prostitution and the legal age of consent is 14.

Once upon a time they had courts trying to legalize kiddie porn.

Not long ago they had kids being bussed to an X-Rated Museum exhibit, which included video screens of children masturbating.

The Toronto YMCA has co-ed nude swims for little children.

It’s a pretty messed up place.

The Canadians come down in RVs and by tons of stuff. Food goes in the fridge, clothes get hung in the closets, all the gas tanks get filled, and all the packaging gets left in the parking lots. I don’t blame them one bit.

The wedding dress incident happened about 20 years ago, but duties between here and Canada were horrid. My daughter and I were just cringing because of the crushed dress. It’s a big deal to get one of those dresses ready for its walk down the aisle. But, I suppose the Canadian have steamers too!

ok, you got me, I’m selling my igloo and sled team and sled. I’ll build a log house and I’ll even shoo away all the moose. From this day on it’ll be nothing but buffalo burgers and maple syrup heh.

I wouldn’t be so quick to say that we’d fold quick in a war. We have a long proven record from the 1700s on. WWI and WWII and Korean War, we’ve done things nobody else could. I won’t go into specific battles as the history lesson would take so long my wife would want battle with me heh.

You must be talking about Ontario. But like the bible says, take the plank out of your own eye before taking the sliver out of someone else’ eye. That being said, we’d have to basically form a unified country of conservatives, the rest we’d deport or ship them all to Quebec heh.

The legal age in Canada is not 14,

The age of consent for sexual activity is 16 years.

However, the age of consent is 18 years where the sexual activity “exploits” the young person — when it involves prostitution, pornography or occurs in a relationship of authority, trust or dependency (e.g., with a teacher, coach or babysitter).
