Obama signed up for coverage over the weekend during the start of his holiday vacation here in Hawaii in what a White House official described as a “symbolic” act to promote the Affordable Care Act

It certainly was symbolic. Does he have the same crappy-ass network that the rest of the bronze sign-ups have? Doubt it.

It would be fun to see if this is touted as an example of his solidarity with his, subjects (uh, fellow Americans) on the usual propaganda outlets--whitehouse.gov, msnbc, OFA (or whatever they call it).

If this was Bush...

I have thought this so many times with this administration. If this was Bush, he would have been hounded 24/7 for months. He does things practically daily that would have resulted with a nonstop barrage of negative publicity if Bush had done the same.

Call it what it is - a ridiculous publicity stunt.

With Bush we had a guy who would personally take time to meet families who were impacted by the death of soldiers. He made a point to not allow this to be photographed or otherwise promoted. His “mission accomplished” message backfired, and the media saw to it that this got lots of airplay.

Obama, on the other hand, seems to do nothing but self-promote. What else does he do besides self-promote and take vacations? What else is he capable of doing?
