Obama has just made a shrewd political move that cuts the legs off the GOPe victory plan in 2014.
The reason that Boehner and McConnell have egg on their faces right now is that their game plan was to be the champions of lower cost health care.
They intended to berate Obama over Obamacare’s requirement that everybody had to buy health insurance at jacked up prices.
The Republicans were going to push the notion of an interstate marketplace instead of in state marketplaces to lower the cost of the mandatory higher priced health plans.
By dropping the requirement to buy higher priced insurance for now, Obama has undercut the GOP and positioned himself as the champion of lower cost health insurance than the Republicans.
This is pure Clinton and no doubt Bill or Hill do have a big
stake in this considering their future plans. I wonder if Obama was given this idea by Bill himself.
They can't sell it because it because they don't understand the law of marginal utility, people allocate resources based on need and then want.
Obamacare is too high priced for the young to change their priorities and buy it instead of something else they want more.
If they aren't giving it away, it is going to fail.
