I agree with your entire post EXCEPT A&E had no choice in their decision.

A&E could have simply stated that Phil was NOT speaking for A&E. Phil was answering a direct question and he expressed his personal beliefs. These are not the beliefs of A&E, but Phil has a right to his opinions.

Instead, they decided that they would PUNISH him for his opinions. That, I think, will prove to be a mistake for A&E; but not so much for the Robertsons. Duck Commander was a million dollar enterprise BEFORE Duck Dynasty, and their brand is only bigger today.

A&E had a choice and they chose poorly.

Great article! God bless Phil Robertson for his openness and honesty about his spiritual views. As with Sarah Palin, the Truth trumps the cultural decay.
