Good reason for not lowering the age for alcohol.
Underage drinking is already illegal. What difference would it make?
If we were a land of liberty, parental discretion, religious teaching and moral training would avoid this. Laws don’t make a people moral, moral people don’t need a lot of laws.

When I was her age the drinking age was 18, so we were able to have out parties in our dorms/frats/etc. where there were some responsible people around.
