See, this just shows how little merit you have.

You scream Abbott, Abbott, Abbott! He’s a conservative! Yet, you haven’t offered an ounce of evidence.

Well show me. Show some spine and defend his record instead of counterattacking. Explain why he’s the conservative solution, and why his record shouldn’t be discussed.

Abbott is your flying, spaghetti monster.

Abbott's record speaks for itself, especially the cases he has filed, argued, and won in federal court on behalf of Texas.

Besides, supporting Abbott is a good way to slam the loser Pauken and his wimpy troll of a son that ran away from FR after he was exposed.

see this. a rock solid conservative like stockman being attacked. a man *giving up a seat* to battle an absolute behmoth GOPe in the senate. he has little or no chance but he’s doing it anyway. it’s an absolute no brainer. have we seen this before: palin, bachmann, etc. that should tell you to roll out the big guns and support stockman. i’ve already written the check.

So how does being a good plaintiff/defendant translate into being a good governor?

There are lots of elected officials who are probably pretty good in court, but are terrible at legislating or leading.

Just like in the Virginia Governors race, the Democrats have beeen behind these Republican Primary Challengers and Independent so-called Tea Party candidates. It is their divide and conquor strategy. Always follow the money whenever you see these challengers in the primaries and then the “Independents” or Liberatarians” in the General. They are really Democrat “Plants”.

Actually, given Stockman's record and fidelity to conservative policy and positions and very little (comparatively speaking) campaign cash, I'm pretty sure you're the "Democrat Plant".

Or maybe just a GOP-E plant, which depending on a conservative's perspective, just might be worse.

In effect, a GOP-E Trojan Horse.

Taking the principled position is always a good start. That's how it translates.

The Governor of Texas has very little actual power, so the race isn't that important anyway. Lt. Governor is another story.

I ain't buying the crap you are selling. But do keep going. It's instructive.

That does put theTallGuy24's posts in perspective.

I think over-reach would be an apt description for his posts on this thread.

I've been on FR for over a decade, and every election cycle, the same thing happens, with every new batch of trolls thinking they are doing something new.

Ok so his principled decision on the merger says a lot.

His principled decision to support tort reform despite making millions from a lawsuit says a lot.

His decision to not take a stand against the practically criminal CPRIT says alot.

His silence about Douglas Karpen, the Kermit Gosnell of Houston, says a lot.

His paying tens of millions to private law firms for “legal services” says a lot.

His $30 million bankroll from just 200 sources, many Perry people, says a lot.

He only sued Bush twice despite Bush doing just as much unconstitutional government expansion as Obama says a lot.

That’s his record.

This seems pretty shady and kind of odd timing for Stockman, especially since he has no money.

I absolutely can't stand Cornyn, but Stockman seems a little off. His "Become a Sentinel" page on his website says, "If babies had guns they wouldn't be aborted."

Concern Troll Alert!

Abbott is going to win the race for Governor. You can try to twist facts however you like, but Abbott will win.

Nope. People will have to do their own research, and see that you are posting the talking points of the liberal dallasnews.com blog.

You don’t have to read the dallas news.

Go to the state’s own Texas Ethics Commission website or Texas Transparency to find out.

I’ve provided facts. You’ve provided empty diatribes.

Your whole reasoning for supporting Abbott is “Abbott is going to win the governor’s race.”

By that reasoning, it means you supported the “severely conservative” Mitt Romney because he was going to win.

So how does being a good plaintiff/defendant translate into being a good governor?

If we use Senator Cruz as the model, it would appear that it can translate quite well, don't you think?

” - - - He adds that on top of that, Dave Norman, the husband of Stockman staffer Bonnie Norman, filed to enter the race for Stockman’s congressional seat at almost exactly the same time the congressman filed to enter the senatorial race. Huls says he believes Stockman deliberately kept his entrance into the Senate race a secret so his staffer’s husband wouldn’t have much competition in the primary race to fill his old seat. - - - “

Are the financial backers of Dave Norman also the financial backers of Stockman?

Given that Stockman only has 32k and loads of debt, I wonder how many financial backers he really has lol

You have provided your spin (and that of dallasnews.com) on so-called facts. That is all.

People can do their own research.

I support Abbott because he is a conservative, and as such, is being attacked by liberals.

Cruz is the exception that proves the rule.

Before Cruz, everyone complained all day long about how there were too many lawyers running everything and writing unreadable, bad legislation.

Now Cruz changes that mindset? He’s done a great job, but that doesn’t mean we no longer have a lawyer problem in Austin and Washington.
