Maybe so, but I am not counting on it. That’s a long time away, and I notice how Obama/DNC has a way, if left unchecked, of filling that interim vacuum and overwhelming the sated, over-confident, always surprised Repubs.
Far too many people harbour the relief that Obamacare has nothing to do with them-—as it was intended, and then repurposed (via delaying employer mandate), to do. Fools are they-— the employer-insured with their PPO insurance (as have I) and the uber-wealthy, who will just shift to concierge services and private plans.

Sooner than a snap of the fingers (2015), PPO’s will disappear as those employers offering PPO plans are mercilessly decentivized and financially punished into abandoning those plans. The untouched uber-wealthy will discover that although they have escaped Obamacare’s hideous healthcare grasp, they have not escaped Obamacare’s economy, nor the Obamacare shutdown of medical research and development.

Geisinger Health in PA raised my monthly from $252 to $500, and deductible from $500 to %5,000, and that’s until Dec 30, when it expires. They’re not offering me any alternative.
So I’ll go without, see my regular 2 docs (probably drop 1), pay cash and get a discount for office visits, buy meds out of pocket, and if something catastrophic happens, shop for a covering policy since I can’t be turned down for pre-existing condition. If it gets bad, I’ll drive into an empty farm field, leave the Jeep, and just eat a .45 ACP or run the tailpipe into the closed Grand Cherokee. I refuse to sign-up for 0deathCare.
Update on American University: Man with a gun was found; it was an off-duty DC cop. Lockdown canceled. Good.

Your indiv Geisinger plan is like Obamacare choices with respect to premiums/deductibles-—but perhaps not insofar as what docs/specialists/and hospitals are available to you.
Are you saying your plan expiration is THIS Dec 30th (2013)? SHEESH! Shop for another indiv plan and check to see if your docs are included. Better yet, call docs’ offices to see what plans they accept and call those insurers for specifics. Does no harm to get info.
Your plan B (”if it gets bad...”), after all, is not a plan. :-(
That sounds like someone who thinks if “Armageddon” comes, I’ll just wing it-— not like someone who preps a basement like you have posted photos of.
Research your options for a new plan...for 2015. After that, Medicare eligible, right? Was learning about that on the Sebelius hearing thread today:

Yes, this Dec 30th. I’ll see my PCP Dec 20, and find out what plans he’s on, and make some calls after that app’t. Geisinger isn’t offering anything else for me and may be folding-up the tent in 2014 or 2015, in PA. I’ll be going on SSI this year and Medicare in 2015, so there’s that.
