I used to carry a Remington Model 51. It’s a sweet collector’s gun. Then, I realized if I used it I would probably never see it again. So, I switched to a modern S&W .380 with Glaser rounds.
I would advise against Glazer rounds. They tend to be light, and don’t penetrate to where the large blood vessels are, to say nothing of your adversary’s spine.
Best to have a heavy solid round that will penetrate deeply.
