"Many African American/Caribbean residents expressed a genuine concern that as the Jewish community continues to grow, they would be pushed out by their Jewish landlords or by Jewish families looking to purchase homes," Cumbo wrote in the 1,200-word letter, which was emailed to supporters and posted on her Facebook page."I respect and appreciate the Jewish communitys family values and unity that has led to strong political, economic and cultural gains. While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success."
Well, that changes things. If Jews are moving into the neighborhood, of course assault is understandable.
“... black constituents told her they feel threatened by the growth of the neighborhood’s Jewish community...”
What is the threat??? Clean neighborhood??? Peaceful neighborhood??? Prosperous neighborhood????
Bloomberg (NYC Dems) makes sure the NYC Jews cant arm themselves to protect themselves from these roving bands of violent criminals who are stalking them.
Now that does remind me of Germany n the early 1930s.
Well that 'splains it. They bees lazy welfare collecting drones, and the fact that someone else accomplishes stuff naturally leads to resentment. How dare they not also be lazy welfare collecting drones. To quote the turd in the white house "when you spread the wealth around everyone gains." An absurd statement, but one firmly believed by the irrational (ie 0 voters)
On going tension between one black and another and blacks and everybody else
“Many Jewish residents expressed a genuine concern that as the African American/Caribbean community continues to grow, they would be pushed out by their African American/Caribbean landlords.” What if she said this?
The difference being that the German Jews didn’t support the NAZIs.
Need an “A-Team” of 250#+ black belts. Hang out on their street corners wearing yarmulkes. They’re paying 5k reward for each one of these yos you bring in.
“if these attacks are driven by hate crimes, we have to understand where that hate is coming from, we just have to understand it.”
...it’s whitey’s fault for not wearing helmets. Maybe Smith & Wesson can help them to “understand”?
They don't want to arm themselves. The vast majority of NY Jews vote for Democrats and Democrats are anti-gun by definition. If they wanted to arm themselves, they'd vote for different candidates.
the councilwoman is full of s###. Violence toward these criminals is the only thing that they will understand.
she went on to explain why it is the Jew's fault they are getting beat up.
Is she saying blacks are lazy? Or that Jews are pushy? Or both? I am half serious. If a Republican said what she said, every GOPer from Sarah Palin to the dogcatcher in Boise would be pushed by liberal scum to apologize.

Well ... well ... WELL! It looks like the Rev Al Sharpton's Crown Heights and Freddy's Fashion Mart CHICKENS ARE COMING HOME TO ROOST!
He's lamely attempted to do some proactive damage control but it would appear that Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo opposes his blatant hypocrisy on the issue.
Could it be that we have a Mooooslim Brotherhood in the WH.
Maybe if the Jews wore something distinctive, like a yellow Star of David, that would signal people not to hit them.
Exactly. There is no excuse for this but if there WAS an excuse, it would be.....
So, if “tension” causes the violence,
we should see a proportionate amount of Jew attacks on blacks...
And I’d bet a lot that this occurrence is statistically ZERO, if not actually zero.
