This is not a new bombshell. For weeks the experts have said the back end portion of the web site has not been created…. the accounting and payment side. That meant that paying for your policy or getting payment from your policy is impossible. This accounts for an estimated 45 to 55 % of the over all task and is part of the fundamental functionality. this is a joke and designed only to steal your identity
Nothing that can’t be cured by hiring a corps of humans to write checks.
And it helps the unemployment stats!
No, but the new thing is the gov is going to cut a check - taking a guess on how much the insurance company should get.

Note well: You are not signed up until you make a payment. And you cannot make a payment, because they haven’t created that part of the system. It seems pretty obvious that not a single American has yet signed up for Obamacare. Not one.
The bombshell is that the government is allowing the insurance companies to “estimate” what they are owed, and then the administration will cut them a check. If there is a dispute, it will be trued up later.
Sort of an honor system.
Trust the insurance companies and the government to do the right thing with the taxpayer’s money.
I’m sure that will work out well.
