LINDSEY GRAHAMS APPEASEMENT APPROACH PROVEN FAILURE
The naïve bipartisan strategy preferred by Republican moderates like Lindsey Graham, John McCain and Mitch McConnell was further embarrassed on Thursday, as Harry Reid and the Democrats rammed through a measure limiting the rights of the Senate minority on a party line vote.
I wonder if Lindsey Graham and John McCain have learned their lesson yet said Lee Bright following the 52-48 vote engineered by Reid that takes away the 60 vote cloture rules on certain Senate votes. The conservative challenger to Graham who has been picking up major endorsements and straw poll victories all across the state, added that weve said from day one that the problem in this country is the Obama-Reid-Schumer agenda, and Republicans like Graham, McCain and Mitch McConnell refuse to fight it. People like Graham insult patriots like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, insisting that we must reach across the aisle and work together. Hows that working out for you today, Mr. Graham?

Bright landed some haymakers there. You have anything to do with that, sir?
Lee being Lee ..which is a GOOD thing.
The title...
Harry Reid Makes Fools Out of Lindsey Graham and GOP Establishment"
holds true.
I like what I have seen so far with Lee Bright. I hope he keeps gaining momentum with Sen. Tim Scott’s reluctance to endorse Lindsey.
I would vote for him if the election were held today. But he still has a storm of operatives and opposition in the SC Republican party to overcome when Lindsey starts his in state onslaught.
Damn straight it is. Thanks as always for the ping.
OK, but Grahamnesty votes like a Democrat so I dont think this is at the top of my list regarding him.
Grahamnesty talks like a Republican sometimes on TV but votes and takes positions similar to Hillary’s.
McCain was on CNN yesterday and said ‘This changes everything’
We dont know what that means.
Are you in charge of rabbit trails today .making sure the thread goes off topic?
Indeed
thanks for the "re-direct."
I been responding to replies the past few hours. Are they off some topic?
I guess I could give the repeated litony :
"AHHHGG, I just hates those GOPe RINO cowards like Graham. They just makes me sooo mad. I am never giving another dime to the RNC. I have to go kick my dog now before I break my keyboard"
LOL
Thanks for the post liking this guy more and more.
touche .
:)
>> His past position on this was repeated here by more than a few as if he is Moses coming down from the Mount with the US constitution on stone tablets. And his new one will be too. <<
Sickoflibs points out the real problem here is that none of Levin's fans think of him as "just a radio talk show host". Especially in the past year or so, they've crossed the line into Ron Paul style cult worship, and declare Levin is some kind of infallible all-wise and all-knowing savior of the U.S. Consitution. You don't see that type of blind following when other conservative talk show hosts like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Laura Ingraham, etc., take a position. People understand that conservative talking heads aren't going to be right 100% of the time. But disagree with Mark Levin, and you don't "understand" the Constitution and/or hate the founding fathers and/or America. It's gotten so bad that we're also told we MUST support any candidate that Mark Levin endorses in the primary, because that alone is proof that so-and-so is the best choice to "save our Republic"
>> And so those opinions that the GOP should have done what Reid just did except first were and are still popular here with more than a few.
Nothing says we have to like what Reid did, unless we said it was a good idea before. <<
Very true. I got flamed here a few times towards the end of the Bush administration for pointing that I was also pissed that the GOP caved on the nuclear option, but looking back in hindsight, we got virtually all of the judges through that we wanted after the "compromise", and that the nuclear option would come back to bite us in the butt once the RATs took control of the Senate. Well, it took several years, but it looks like now the RATs have done so.
Whoo Hoo! Nice!
Would be thrilled, here, to see Bright make it all the way. South Carolina keeps trying to go blue on us. Bright has got to cut Graham off somehow in the center left, to go for the win.
Will Bright supporters let him?
Thx for the ping news!
