It’s a wonderful movie. Uncle Remus is a very positive character, the story takes place AFTER the Civil War so it doesn’t depict slaves, and the nastiest characters in the movie are two bratty little white boys. The fact that it goes unreleased is pure political correctness.

Do a search entitled “Song of the South” and it will come up then. We have two copies of the movie on DVD and my kids love it. It was banned here in the US but is the #1 Disney movie for sale in the world. It has been for sale in Europe, South America and Asia for years.

I grew up with Uncle Remus with my Mother reading us stories out of an original print that her grandmother had bought and passed down to her and then to my older brother.

God Bless the South!
