A White House in Crisis Mode, but Some Allies Prod for More
New York Times ^ | November 8, 2013 | By MICHAEL D. SHEAR

President Obama was seething. Two weeks after the disastrous launch of HealthCare.gov, Mr. Obama gathered his senior staff members in the Oval Office for what one aide recalled as an “unsparing” dressing-down.

Mr. Obama’s anger, described by a White House that has repeatedly sought to show that the president was unaware of the extent of the website’s problems, has lit a fire under the West Wing staff. Senior aides are racing to make sure the website is fixed by the end of the month as they confront the political fallout from presidential promises, now broken, that all Americans who liked their existing health care plans could keep them.

Plenty of finger-pointing and second-guessing remains about how the situation developed so badly. Aides said the president did not believe that anyone had purposely deceived him or his top advisers, but they have concluded that some of the people working in the trenches on the website were not forthcoming about the problems.

Rogue agents in Cincinnati.

I read it in the papers just like you did.

I didn't know.

Some people working in the trenches didn't tell me.

Bull Manure.

BS
Part of grand plan.
Website cluster was purposeful.
1.5B bullets trumps it.
Collapse coming and not much gold left in US; India, Russia, China have it all...and, $USD basically worthless.
Yes, purposeful, and Soros I’m sure will be shorting the $USD soon. Gee, could favoring Iran over Israel be part of this?

Bull Manure isn’t strong enough. Hes afraid of the outcome of the 2014 elections for starters. His prize project is in shambles and heading for the circular file and he can’t stand it. Now that the people have had a chance to see it, they are shying away from it, They will have to be forced into joining and that isn’t gone to be an easy task.
Good for him, I don’t think its going to work out to well for him. Yipee!!!

From Charles Krauthammeryesterday:

Confronted with a crisis of governance, how does President Obama respond?

He campaigns.

“I’ve got one more campaign in me,” he told grass-roots supporters Monday — a series of speeches and rallies, explains the New York Times, “to make sure his signature health care law works.”

Campaigning to make something work? How does that work? Presidential sweet-talk persuades the nonfunctional Web portal to function? “

Well, now that the “campaign” didn’t fix the web site, I guess Obummer figures if he screams a lot at those in his little inner circle, that’ll get the web site to work for sure!

Maybe, if he spent as much time in the Oval Office actually doing presidential things as he does on the golf course, he might KNOW what is going on in the Executive Branch.

The public accepts that technology sometimes fails, the president said, but he had personally trumpeted that HealthCare.gov would be ready on Oct. 1, and it wasn’t. “If I had known,” Mr. Obama said, according to the aide, “we could have delayed the website.”

More lies. I'm sure Obama knew. He and Sebellius made a decision to proceed with the website because he was afraid of being lambasted for not rolling out on time.

You can believe absolutely NOTHING he says. Nothing.

K calls it campaigning; I call it speechifying.

That is why senators do no make good presidents. They think that, if they give a speech, that resolves the issue. If they introduce a resolution, they have done their job.

I don’t think they get that even apart from the issues with the adverse selection death spiral on the insurance side, they have an enormous programming problem here.

I expect the site will be down more than it is up as the deadline approaches.

Some Democrats close to the White House, however, think that the administration is not sufficiently panicked by the health care problems and urgently needs to step up its response. They say that the president and his staff do not recognize the full threat to his legacy

I believe this is true. Obama doesn't like emergencies. He backed off on taking action when Iran had its mini-revolution a few years ago. And he refused to take action when Assad crossed the red line, letting Putin take the lead.

The truth is...Obama is a coward. He has no idea what to do right now with the website and is scared to get out in front of it. I think the Dems have a right to be very nervous right now because their emperor's clothes are coming off.
