“How do people vote statewide for Rep. Atty. Gen. but not Gov? Something just doesn’t seem right?”

Part of it might be that Cuccinelli got tangled up with the company that bribed the sitting governor. That, coupled with Cuccinelli’s longstanding refusal to denounce the governor after he got caught might well have turned off just enough people.

Cuccinelli ran a horrible race. He was disorganized, had no ground game, and responded defensively to every sling. He was doomed the second he started complaining about negative advertising. That he came this close speaks volumes for what the TEA party can do when it puts its mind to it.
