I was reminded of this interview when I saw this tweet by Daniel Horowitz:

Now that the results of enrollment are coming in, it is quite clear that obamacare is medicaid 10:52 PM - 26 Oct 2013

Betsy McCaughey would agree, as she was on with Megyn Kelly last night to discuss the fact that Obamacare was designed to push people into Medicaid. Why? Because is a single payer system and that’s what they believe in, McCaughey said.

Per Betsy McCaughey, Obamacare vastly shifts resources from Medicare to Medicaid. She is not shocked about how many are signing up for medicaid because that is what they want. Single payer. Hospitals will get bonus points for how little they treat seniors.

The Roberts decision sort of blew that up for Obama didn't it?

They’re already getting free Medical. They go to emergency rooms and clinics. Now they can just go to your doctor...who isn’t taking new patients.

Medicare is/was personal asset choice. Medicaid is a bastardized government takeover of personal choice and wealth. I will despise any and all politicians who want me and my wife on Medicaid. I remember the ‘old’ days when company health plans served the working people very adequately. Then unions and government got together to kill the geese that laid the eggs.

The elderly on Medicare have just been thrown under the bus by the flippin’ Kenyan and his commie ‘RAT comrades. The ‘RATS are working for the illegal aliens now. Barry the ‘RAT just stuck it to grandma and grandpa.

My doctor hasn’t been taking new patients for quite awhile. He’s probably the most sought after doctor around and we’re lucky that, not only ,is he our doctor but one of my husband’s best friends. He really doesn’t seem to be fazed by O-care and ,actually, his son just joined his practice. A good deal of his patients are elderly and I think he would go to the ends of the earth to give them the care they deserve. I guess, I’ll just have to wait and see. Believe it or not, if you have a medical emergency and the office is closed he’ll have you go to his home.

When you apply for Medicaid, the feral government pretty much owns all your assets. When you die, it all goes to them.

There's your answer, right there.

I believe you cannot have assets over a fixed amount to be on medicaid. If you want on this program, these assets must be divested.

Correct. It is about $2500 you can keep. That's it.

Bankruptcy is far preferable to going on Medicaid.

Medicaid Estate Recovery

Affordable Care Act of 2010. Estate recovery will be forced on millions of people who might have otherwise gone without insurance. Why? Because the plan is that millions more Americans have health insurance. That would be accomplished by expanding Medicaid and implementing premium assistance (subsidies). When a person is found to be eligible for Medicaid, they will be automatically enrolled into their state's Medicaid program. Those forced into Medicaid will, due to the federal law, also be forced into estate recovery. Their estates will be partly or fully taken over by the federal or state government when they die.

As I found out last night, all but about three of the states have done away with asset tests for Medicaid (I’m talking about for people under 65 — not sure about Medicaid and Medicare dual eligibility for older people). There are no asset questions or limits of any kind for the “new” Medicaid.

I disagree.
The worst thing that happened was when healthcare became tied to employment during WW2.
It removed the cost connection between consumer and provider.

Since there are no Americans at the helm of America anymore, we only have non-raiders to raid Americans.
