Gee Al, if you look at the amount of energy it takes to mine and refine some of the semi exotic materials in those new gadgets... oh and don’t forget special procedures and processes for safely disposing of or recycling them... vs the energy savings over their projected useful lifetime.... I haven’t run the numbers but, I strongly suspect you aren’t doing the world any favors, may even be a net loss when compared to a more mainstream approach. But then Al, you couldnt promote all this AGW and carbon footprint nonsense you are so heavily invested in, could you? Spare us the thin veil of philanthropy, this is all about money to you. A lot of money.

Probably. Apart from luxury good markups, the price of most goods reflects the energy going into making them. That includes the energy used by the employees putting in the hours. So spending big bucks to be green probably means you are not green.

I will be impressed if Algore moves into one of these:
