You suggested they lived in the stone age.
Their schools and cities could run circles around most of ours.
I don’t agree with their politics, but it is easy to dismiss these guys. You know the ones that overtook one of our “super secret” drones, and who are running circles around our leaders.
So, I was wrong about you calling them arabs—although that was the jist of your comments. However, I am not wrong about our ignorance.
I wonder if Sarah Silverman will offer to scissor him now?
Sounds like the waste of a perfectly good nuke to me.
I know that was true in the '70's, and if they're still running those circles it's because we have Dems running most of the schools and cities. Meanwhile, Iran has been doing all they can to reverse the running circles thing for the past 30-35 years.
I have friends from there. (They haven't been there in a very long time.) From what I understand, Iran is a study in remarkable contrasts. Some places are fabulously wealthy, while others are just about cliff-dwellers. Either way, they're a spirited people with a lot of civilized history and I wouldn't want to go to war against them. They'd be an enemy the likes of which we haven't fought since Japan.
(There are Arabs that live there, but not many remain. The Persians have been hard at work exterminating them.)
The population of the world is about 7 billion, of which 300+ million are Americans. Most Americans may not care if 7 million Muslims were to die suddenly (and no doubt there are more than 7 million Muslims who would like to see all of us dead--but they aren't all residents of Tehran) but we also need to take into account the attitudes of the 5.2 billion people who are neither Americans nor Muslims ("a decent respect for the opinions of mankind").
Nuking Tehran would be mass murder and it wouldn't even advance our interests. Adelson is insane to think it would.
