They will also be told repeatedly by the administration and most of the media that the only way out of that pain is a single-payer system. I have no confidence that the majority of the public won’t be persuaded by these arguments. Recent events indicate that the American public is basically as dumb as a sack of rocks.

Because I don't believe for a moment that the gimmedat class is in the majority in this country. In fact, it's my gut feeling that most Americans are sick to death of the federal behemoth, and want it off their backs and out of their lives.
