Marching to the Wrong Drummer

Marching to the Wrong Drummer

For over forty years, many of our good citizens have been marching to the wrong drummer. Politicians who the mainstream press vilified received little or no support from our citizens even though they supported the same cause. Being exposed to biased political blather by the mainstream media day after day results in a Stockholm Syndrome brainwashing that makes the Full Ginsburg look like a thirty second television commercial.

Bamboozled by a well crafted storyline, voters are persuaded to withhold support from politicians even though they support the same cause. A case in point is Sarah Palin who ran for vice president. Right out of the box her opponents realized her casus belli was energy independence. Realizing that being against energy independence was like being against motherhood, they turned to the politics of personal destruction. Even that wasn't enough so they attacked her children. Any thinking person would know this concerted media attack was meant to crush any chance Palin had of an in-depth energy discussion with the voters.

Instead of presenting a meaningful discussion of the issues, zealots in the mainstream media present a cacophony of BS to the voters—that is one reason the country is as divided as it is today. Some think we are watching a country commit suicide. Just imagine a country where:

Their debts continue to rise and billions of dollars are considered pocket change.
Political parties are corrupted by bribes disguised as campaign contributions.
Politicians often place special interests ahead of the interests of the country.
Laws are selectively enforced depending on the political whim of the moment.
Their medical and retirement systems are not sustainable.
There are few jobs, even for college graduates, and their educational system is in crisis.
In spite of high unemployment, they lack the will to control their own borders.
They are being flooded with massive, unchecked immigration.
Their income tax system is a hodgepodge of incomprehensible verbiage.
Poorly negotiated trade policies disadvantage their own workers.
Many of their large cities are overpopulated and have a crumbling infrastructure.

And these are only a few of the problems—the people who don't understand the effects of exporting jobs and importing poverty are running the country. They are the same people who don't understand the difference between free and fair trade and call making a speech leadership. Leadership means making hard decisions not reading a speech that somebody else wrote. If you've been marching to the wrong drummer, it's time to wise up and vote for the right team.

Samuel Adams organized the Boston Tea Party that sparked the American Revolution. He also formed the 'Committees of Correspondence' that organized the colonists to actively resist the authority of the British.

For over forty years, many of our good citizens have been marching to the wrong drummer.

The 17th Amendment, ratified in 1913, is glaring evidence that citizens were not being taught the federal government's constitutionally limited powers. And I question if most parents, particularly immigrant parents, were ever making sure that their children were being taught the federal governmet's limited powers the way that the Founding States had intended for those powers to be understood.

Huh? You think they were unfair to Sarah?

No, no, no! They were merely ...... er ...... uh ....... "vetting" her, that's all! Yes, she just needed a bit of "vetting".

And her family.

And her little dog.

Check out this Photo of the Vetting Process that I posted here a few years ago.

Yeah, that'll work.
