The Medical Examiner's office is performing an autopsy on the baby, which should enable police to determine if the baby was born alive or not. The baby was reportedly at only five or six months gestation. According to the Medical Examiner's office, the baby was born alive and later asphyxiated. Society continues its descent.
The girl did not know how to handle the situation. With all the money we pump into public schools, along with how to use a condom, it might be helpful to also instruct girls on what to do in such a situation.

Part of any “sex education” program should be information on Safe Haven laws. Drop off the baby at a hospital, or manned police or fire station. No questions asked. But they don’t want the babies born alive.
