The picture the Times chose to go with this article, speaks volumes - laughable to us but shows proper reverence for Obama by his compliant media.

But Chauncey Gardner comes to mind.

The Democrats should have left alone those folks with medical insurance, and that includes catastrophic medical insurance.

By concentrating on those who are uninsured or underinsured, the Democrats could have had the program moving along nicely at this point.

But no, BHO2 just had to be confrontational. That’s the way of the Community Organizer and frankly, most of the Democrat Party leadership.

Thank God they’re stupid. This medical fiasco is going to collapse and folks will not tolerate a bankrupt government trying to foist socialist medicine on America.

I think, IMHO, the Democrats have shot themselves in the foot.

Everything is going the way ZERO wants.
All the attention has been away from the disastrous "ZERO DON'T CARE" roll out 10/01.
He has had this planned for some time. He knew how?
I don't put anything past the low life. . . . .

Obama will go with the stick.

The latest surrender of the Republican party has shown he has half of the Republican Senate in his pocket and one third of the Republican House in there with them.

That picture by the way shows exactly how the White Press Corpse treats Obama as they bow as he walks by.

The lesson I see to future presidents is this:

As long as the Mainstream Media is on your side and covers up for you in all ways; You can do and say ANYTHING and get away with it.

Of course the opposite is true too, as soon as you lose the MSM, you are toast. You will be vilified and destroyed in the media everyday until you are destroyed in reality too.

Obama is going to crash and burn when companies start sending the open enrollment forms around. In the next couple of weeks, those of us who actually work for a living will know their fate. How much will their premiums go up? How high will their deductibles go? Is their employer switching plans? Are their doctors on the new plan? Are they being kicked onto the “exchange”? Are they dropping healthcare and paying the fine? Are they getting their hours cut? Was granny kicked off of supplemental insurance? TSWHTF very soon.

Let’s look a bit closer...

Should the president reach out to his Republican opponents or isolate them? Alinsky says, “Isolate them.”
Should he compromise to move his agenda or try to split the GOP ranks? Alinsky says, “Split them up. Set one upon the other.”
Carrot or stick? Alinsky says, “Always the stick; don’t hold back.”

There is no mistaking the strategy employed by this commie-in-chief. It is taken directly from the dhimmicrap playbook, and executed with fervor, focus, and finality.

The insurers don’t yet have a clear overall sense of the risk profile of the people who are signing up, but the circumstantial evidence they have is very distressing to them. The danger of a rapid adverse selection spiral is much more serious than they believed possible this summer. They would love it if the administration could shut down the exchange system, at least the federal one, until the interface problems can be addressed. But they know this is impossible.

The money quote. It was inevitable. As long as the penalty is much less than the deductible for an average policy, people will pay the tax and gamble with their health.

[But Chauncey Gardner comes to mind.]

From PJ Tatler blog:

Vernon Jordan, the big-time Washington lawyer (and a solid Democrat), tells the story of a golf game in which Obama was partnered with New York mayor Michael Bloomberg, who also is in a very select group of true experts on the financial markets. Afterward, Bloomberg remarked that, through four hours of riding the cart with the mayor, Obama asked his golf partner not a single question about anything.

It's been a constant quandary for the Obama White House: Should the president reach out to his Republican opponents or isolate them? Should he compromise to move his agenda or try to split the GOP ranks? Carrot or stick?

I see no evidence of any "quandary." He's been quite consistent with his attacks.

What winning strategy? With the exception of Cruz and Lee, he is fighting unarmed cowards who are focusing their energies on destroying Cruz and Lee. They remind me of a pack of hyenas.

Obama says “Washington has to change”. If he was referring to the corruption that would be great, but what he really wants to end is the constitutional structure of the balance of powers. Nothing short of an absolute dictatorship will please him.
