American taxpayers have once again been trampled by establishment Republicans a thundering herd of chicken-hearted Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) galloping to the Left.
The debt ceiling deal struck between Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is a victory for President Obama and Democrats.
ObamaCare is still the law of the land. The government is still spending money it does not have. And thousands of government workers just got a two-week vacation courtesy of the taxpayers.
Im sure we will hear establishment apologists calling the events of recent days a compromise. But seeing how the president refused to compromise, its more likely the Grand Old Party was the only one bending.
Establishment Republicans always talk about doing the right thing for the nation, no matter the price. But when push comes to shove, they always throw in the towel. And Wednesday, McConnell and his band of merry moderates heaved their towels in an epic demonstration of lily-livered cowardice.
But youve got to hand it to Sen. Ted Cruz for standing his ground. He held the line and ultimately paid the price. His good name was smeared by Democrats as well as McConnells band most notably Sens. John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Bob Corker.

Todd and I were proud to stand with Mark Levin and other bold, patriotic warriors in support of Steve Lonegan in the New Jersey Senate race! Mayor Lonegan fought the good fight, and he and his supporters have not finished the race, theyve just begun! The press has now called the race for Barack Obamas celebrity stand-in, Cory Booker, but rest assured that Steve fought gallantly for every vote that would have led to American solvency and exceptionalism. Steve is a lucky guy to have a strong New Jersey wife and two great daughters who supported him through this campaign. We so enjoyed getting to know them, as their passion and love for this country inspired us. Looking at Steves life story should remind all of us to never be afraid to climb a mountain, no matter how high. Steve energized commonsense conservatives all across the country. And though its sad, its not surprising to see the far left lapdog media finally cover this race tonight (once their chosen one was deemed the victor, but not previously when voters deserved to hear of Lonegans successful small-government record and intentions to defend our republic).
Tonights press coverage of the status quo antics in Washington, D.C. energize us further. Tonights New Jersey race was a win for Barack Obama, and the Senate deal in D.C. was a loss for the American people replete with more back-room deals, billion dollar corrupt earmark kickbacks, and weak leadership unwilling to stand up for the people who sent them to Washington. What happened in D.C. tonight reminds us of how hard we must fight in 2014 to return to a government of the people, by the people, for the people. These politicians work for us, and yet a new poll accurately reflects that just 13% of us feel as though this country that we love is on the right track. The way forward is to elect leaders who will listen to us; and if they dont, we must hold them accountable on election day no matter what party. Lets commit to continue to be in the trenches fighting for those who stand on principle over politics, despite the odds.
Friends, do not be discouraged by the shenanigans of D.C.s permanent political class today. Be energized. Were going to shake things up in 2014. Rest well tonight, for soon we must focus on important House and Senate races. Lets start with Kentucky which happens to be awfully close to South Carolina, Tennessee, and Mississippi from sea to shining sea we will not give up. Weve only just begun to fight.

Hide story
You know, I was listening to "Mr. Repeat, Repeat, Repeat", Sean Hannity yesterday and he kept mentioning how John McNuts and Bob Corkscrew had reviled Cruz, but not once did he mention Grahamnesty. I found that very odd.
Not Bob Corkscrew, but BOB CORKSUCKER!
Remember Tom Daschle? Is it possible to oust all the House & Senate Republican leadership who betrayed Conservative voters.
“...Grand Old Party was the only one bending...” OVER!!!!
What do members of Congress know about market investment timing and when do they know it? Have any of them profited from the government shutdown?
In the meantime, McConnell has got to go...support Bevin!!!
Team Romney (Impostors guided by Soros and Obama)
has won again, and has left another “dagger” in the
back of the American People.
I will vote for the most conservative candidate in a race. I know it won’t be a Democrat (and I wouldn’t vote for a Democrat, anyway, just on principle). It may be a Republican, and it may be third-party. If there isn’t one on the ballot, I will write in my dog.
What the h does he mean Obama didn’t compromise. He did too.
He was forced to give McConnell his 2 billion dollar pork barrell project in order to get this deal.
Who knew that McConnell was so principled and such a hard bargainer.
Yet another comfortable, complacent commentator blaming everyone but the comfortable, complacent citizen who financially supports these scoundrels as part of the price he pays to maintain his lifestyle.
“Were going to shake things up in 2014.”
Riiiiiiiiight.
not interested in the most worthless republican party any more
i am a conservative who believes in small gub mint.
F-em
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
garbage out there VOTING IN RATS all the time, or NOT VOTING at all, or VOTING THIRD PARTY is handing ALL THE POWER to the rats.....
and yet we expect the ones that do get elected to be sacrificial lambs for us...
its time for people to start taking responsibility for their actions, and some people even here on FR need to look themselves in the mirror...
