“181/550 precincts reporting in Essex. There are still many place not reported throughout the state.”

I don’t believe Lonegan can win (because the media has worked so hard pretending Booker has accomplishments and Lonegan is a looney), but the numbers may be deceptive at this point because the most high-tech places should be the ones where Booker scores anyway. The further out from the cities you get, I’d think the results come in later.

The center of gravity for NJ is steadily moving southwest (as companies and their taxpayers move out of the costlier northeast of the state); I’m not sure what that means for statewide elections.

Yes.....i said Essex when i should have said Camden...sorry!!! However for Lonegan to garner those number of votes in heanily minority counties is absolutely amazing!!! Cory booker may win tonight, but...not by much!!! The real losers will be the Republican establishment types that mocked Lonegan and failed to give him support!!! Goodbye....RINOS!!!

Few places pay as much for Booker’s failures as Essex County; I’m not sure why the media tried the same air of inevitability they pushed on us with Obama. I work with many blacks who detest Booker (they were supporters of Sharpe James, and felt Booker was a “white” candidate that unseated him - he has no street cred); they all bitch about the vacations they used to take and how much spending money they used to have when Republicans controlled things.

They are low-information voters, but they are working people with grown children that have moved on; they don’t qualify for many freebies. They’re learning what white taxpayers deal with, and they’re not so hot on tax-and-spend Dems anymore.

Christie won Gloucester by 3%
Lonegan loses by 1%
with all precincts reporting

turnout is 55% of the Christie election in that county
appears to be less than 50% in Camden

Out-spent 10:1 lip service from the Christie, nothing from McConnell and the RNC in a State almost as Commie-Red as Connetikut and Taxanapperachikuetts and he is still with 7 points..

Un-Flipping-believable that they blew this opportunity...

I haven’t posted here often enough because of personal issues, but I just want to say that I made it my business to get out and vote for Steve today. I live in Hudson County, and when I went to vote there wasn’t one other person there. Whatever happens, Booker isn’t going to get the turnout he wants.

“But the Zombies still pull the lever for the “D”.”

Maybe; my county (Hudson) is notorious for it. I pointed out earlier that this is for one year; the seat is up for re-election next year.

He’s getting enough though.

No results from Mercer yet, but Essex, Hudson, and Union alone are providing most of the vote cushion.

Lonegan was and is a force to be reckoned with. If he doesn't win, it wasn't because he didn't work hard enough, or deserve it. Booker outspent him something like 10 times. He did an outstanding job, with it appears little help from the established GOP. They were too busy working for November election.
