That song is outstanding.
Now to get some little kids to sing it by the parking lot barriers. Put it on You Tube, it would go viral....

As I understand it, people who went to the Flight 93 Memorial in Pennsylvania, also got tickets. What is infuriating about this is that, like the WW2 Memorial, these are built from private donations! It is beyond infuriating that the NPS seems to be so happy to bow to the Emperor. Just plain MAD!

LOL.... Usually that is held in P.A. Fortunately, that happens only once a year.

The NPS must be tremendously overfunded. Their appropriations need to be drastically reduced and this agency needs to be forbidden from acquiring any more sites.

You may be interested to know that the State improperly transferred those sovereign navigable waters to create the CNSSP IN 1980. Those waters are/were held in Trust for the people and can not be wholly alienated from them. If you find that those waters are “closed” you may want to peruse the nine stipulations the State made to the “AGREEMENT”. One of which stipulated the “absolute right of the people to fish on and engage in other lawful activities”. Jus saying.

The last time I was in the Excited States for any length of time was in ‘99-2000. Travelling throughout the South-West, I was amazed that so many park rangers and other government employees were armed(and dangerous). I spent a lot of time travelling and camping in the high country.
Except in elk season, very few civilian pick-ups had rear window racks displaying rifles; back home in the Peace River country in Canada, a far greater percentage of trucks display fire-arms.
OTOH, US Government employees of all kinds and state(esp. Colorado) employees were armed to the teeth.
It’s only gone downhill since.

Oh yes - lest we forget...
That creature of the state Ranger Jennifer Jackson should have her dreams disturbed by visions of “Heads On Pikes”.

Yes, I remember that deal when it went down at the time. I was making a living shellfishing in the lagoon.
Several of us tried warning the state lawmakers that the Feds would eventually make it hard on those making a living there.
Sure enough it wasn't long before they required a Federal Permit for commercial shellfishermen. Initially just a few dollars it had gone up to $100 when I got out of it in the mid '90s. Plus they added the requirement of keeping catch logs to be submitted monthly to the NPS. Of course they then added steep fines for those who didn't comply.
Then they had to hire more rangers to enforce all the new regs.(Including one who would pilot an ultralight aircraft)
One other thing they reneged on was they were never supposed to charge an entrance fee to public. That lasted a few years then they started charging to get in. I'm retired from all that now, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll pass it on to those still working the lagoon. Just as well because I definitely would have ignored the "closure" and probably been arrested.

Pat was a Char from SNL in the 90's. Nobody knew what gender it was and the shows
were always about people trying to figure it out. Played very well by Julia Sweeney
