Reading everything I could find that Reid and obama said, one has to come to the conclusions, their idea of a compromise is “gives us everything we want and shut up about it”.

And of course they will cave, except for a few people in the house and senate they are all cowards.

Republicans never learned not to negotiate with themselves?

When someone gives you a counter offer of less than you asked for, you can consider reducing what you asked for, if you want to compromise (if you are not in "take it or leave it mode"). If someone rejects your offer completely, you don't compromise with yourself. You send back the exact same thing. That sends a message that the other side better give somewhere or you are not budging.

The House leadership suffers from the same thing that Obama does--they have never been in the real world.

House GOP whip Kevin McCarthy said the House will send a third government-funding bill with “a few other options” if the Democratic-controlled Senate rejects the bill passed in the House last night, as expected.

So McCarthy is telling the senate to defeat the bill the house just sent over to them because we will be sending them another one more to their liking next time?

Whose side is he on?

What sniveling fakers.

They are so bad at bluffing, it’s pretty clear they don’t want the other side to accept any of their faux demands.

And now we’re on to simply patching up Obamacare?

Yikes!

They had plan a-plan b-plan c- etc. ready from the get go.
They never intended to take a stand.
Otherwise they would.

“We will pass a bill . . . that will keep the government open, that will reflect the House, that I believe the Senate can accept, that will have fundamental changes to Obamacare that can protect the economy for America,”

The only fundamental change I want to see to Obamacare is one that kills it at least for now.

McCarthy said there are “a lot of items on the table”
***********

The House “leadership” is fumbling the ball in the red zone once again and letting the other team run it in for a touchdown.

That’s not a cave. Actually they should add all federal workers and rescind any waivers that have been granted. They are illegal.

The Republicans should be able to win a shutdown, but the reality is that their leadership is too weak because of years of doing nothing politically. The GOP establishment is political 98 pound weaklings because they haven't lifted anything in years.

For the Democrats politics is total warfare, every moment everywhere, but the GOP it is just tactics a few months before the election.

The GOP politicians must fight the Democrats every day, but they also need to know the limits of their strength. It would take years to get back to the political strength of the Reagan era or the early Gingrich speakership.

Cruz has landed some nice punches and tied ObamaCare around the Democrat's neck. That's a good start.

Even the Democrats, Nancy Pelosi, caved on the idea of zero funding the Iraq war because she knew President Bush would win the government shutdown.

Eventually, Boehner and his cohorts will obey Dear Leader’s command to “cut it out!” and everyone will go back to the business of growing the federal government.

The GOPe Congress announces that they’re negotiating with themselves again. They’ve given advance assurance to the Senate that when it rejects this latest proposal, the House has another one ready to go that will be more palatable to socialists.

“We will pass a bill . . . that will keep the government open, that will reflect the House, that I believe the Senate can accept, that will have fundamental changes to Obamacare that can protect the economy for America,”

If there is anything in this bill that allows ZeroCare to go forward in ANY form, then the House and the 'Pubbies have already caved.

Ya gotta love contemporary America - the screw jobs just keep on coming and the people who are supposed to be OUR voice in Washington seem to have developed a severe case of "selective laryngitis"!!
