So Panetta set up a series of questions that if fulfilled allowed him to assume he had the go ahead.
This is a common tactic when you have a leader who is too much of a wimp to lead.
So when those circumstance arrived he went ahead. This let Obama sit on his ass playing cards with Reggie Love while people acted.
This way he could blame them if it went wrong, and take credit if it worked. They called him in off the golf course when it was too late to stop.
The way he crowed about how “I gave the order’ tells me he didn’t.
The giveaway in 2011 was that there were no pictures released, no proof offered, and that the US Navy buried Bin Laden at sea in accordance with Muslim burial traditions.
I said then “What Muslim traditions? They live in a friggin’ desert!”
The 3,000 Americans who died on 9/11/2001 didn’t get to be buried according to their traditions.
When the trith about the last five years get revealed, we won’t be able to even imagine the extent of the deception, treason and treachery.
OBL was already a very sick man with serious kidney problems that needed treatment. For all we know he died in the caves of Afghanistan years ago. No one had heard a word from him for at least two years before he was killed.
So then we have these magnificent pictures of the President and Hillary watching “live feed” video of the raid, until suddenly we learned that the photo was staged-why would they do that?-, then OBL’s body was brought on board a ship and conveniently tossed over board without any photographs or video confirmation.
Then conveniently a few weeks later the unit that was supposed to have carried out the op gets wiped out in a helicopter crash.
This is the administration that brought you Fast and Furious, Benghazi and the IRS harassment.
Do you think they aren’t capable of killing inconvenient people, lying about it afterwards and getting federal agents, including the military, to cover up for them?
I used to laugh at conspiracy theorists, the more we learn about this administration, and in fairness previous administrations, and the power they control the less sceptical I become.
There was a considerable lapse of time between “the raid” and the helicopter downing with Seal Team 6 aboard. How would the Seals have been silenced before that?
No, I think at least some in the regime are capable of that; however, still not sure they killed a helicopter-load of elite American fighters for a cover-up. If this did happen, and solid proof came to light , perhaps the media would turn on them...but perhaps not.
OBL has taken up residence in the WH... he sleeps in the Lincoln bedroom.

Even if they found the actual guy, why would they kill him? I’m sure these guys have ways of capturing people alive when they want to, and this would be a high priority target for that, if ever there was one.
My guess is that, if they got him, he is in the most secret hidey hole our government could arrange, and the rest of the story is a cover to make the enemy think that we didn’t get any intelligence from him.
Not enough people questioned it even if they were wrong. I usually believe the govt story at first but keep reading and thinking about things. Usually part of it is true. This it came to too much not making any sense. And I could still be wrong. Smoke and mirrors can get to you.
Either way it went, it's hard to rationally explain it all such as how do helicopters land in that small enclosure (one crashed and damaged) and there's all those Paki troops just up the road? Told to stand down? A raid by their govt?

I agree there are unanswered questions. Any number of scenarios, such as those you conjured, could have occurred. But the questions, I expect, will remain unanswered.
I guess that makes me a “deather”.
If the Seals had to be silenced by allowing the downing of their helicopter, it would mean that any other attempts to silence them had failed. One would not think that would have been the first attempt.
He killed them remember?
