WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama is asking Americans for help spreading the word about new health insurance exchanges. The exchanges opening Tuesday were created by Obama's health care law. In his weekly radio and Internet address, Obama says Americans can comparison shop like they would for a television or an airplane ticket.
Many, he says, will see cheaper prices and be eligible for tax credits.
Obama says it's disturbing Republicans want to shut down the government if he doesn't gut the law. He says the exchanges will open Tuesday no matter what.

Cheaper prices?....
I compared the exchange plan verses my current employer plan.... For basically the same coverage... It was double...
The difference of course is my employer pays a nice chunk of the total premium for the plan I am on now....
I wonder how long that will last?

I hope the word and consequences about Obamacare gets spread far and wide to working taxpayers. Illegal immigrants from around the world already have their version of it. Just perhaps Obama has stupidly and unintentionally opened Pandora’s box.

Why do you think big business was hung ho for this POS?
I think employer contributions will slowly but surely wither away.
Especially since the plan is to eliminate private insurance, I can see employers doing away with traditional insurance & just offering a lump sum every year & pushing employees onto the exchanges. It’s already happening to some retirees right?
I work for a large employer & our Pres. sent a letter earlier this year assuring us that while premiums are sure to increase, insurance will remain same..for the time being.The letter also noted the my employer healt insurance is self-insured.

Can’t that stupid monkey see that this is the problem? We have to buy something, but “many” can get tax credits to pay for it, so there is no free market to drive down prices. Those of us who do not have the correct “status” in the Obamaconomy to earn those credits will be bankrupted by health care insurance that skyrockets like college tuition.
Is that the next step? Are we going to be offered a chance to obtain “Health Care Loans” that are a lien on our property just to pay for our health care insurance when we are in our productive years. Then, they won’t need those Death Panels because people will elect to be euthanized when they retire with no money, home, health care, and are a million dollars in debt for their Health Care Loans.

You see pal we are in this current health care boat. It leaks, is imperfect but it’s still floating. Some repairs, some tweaks, some work on the sails and engines are in order. You Mr. President are telling us all to step out of the boat into one that is not even in sight. Has not been fully designed and certainly not tested for it’s sea worthiness.
You may note that only one got out of the boat in order to walk to meet, yeah you got it, GOD
Mr. President, YOU fall way short of the necessary credentials for me to be willing to leave my current imperfect boat for your non existent one.
