You are the first I have seen suggest that, joking I assume.

I always thought it suspicious that not one of those 40 or 50 House ‘conservatives, such as Lour Gomert TX, stepped up to challenge Bohner as House Speaker January 3 or 3rd.

So now the last ditch strategy if Cruz cant stop this in Senate is to depend on Bohner putting his finger in the Dike, meaning not putting up the Senate bill for a vote.

And if he does do that(pass it with Dems) there would be the ritual surprise and outrage and teeth gnashing over Boehners betrayal even though he did the same thing twice BEFORE he was re-elected speaker in January.

But its not over year. CR not passed yet.

This.. actually is a very interesting idea. I have been told that their are no requirements that the Speaker of the House even be a representative in the House, much less that they cant be serving as a senator. He has already shown an ability to motivate a large section (majority of the majority?) to pass the CR currently in the Senate. Could an attempt at that position succeed?
