Rove macarena'ed.
A funny cartoon, but, ironically, I agree with him on this issue (except the surrender part, of course). If Tea Partiers or conservatives don’t do any vetting for their candidates, just support anyone who says the ‘right things’ that they want to hear, it may harm the cause. Christine O’Donnell comes to mind.
I’m trying to wrap my head around this. If we don’t defund Obamacare, what is the alternative? What would be the next plan of action? Can you just take chunks out of it? Is that possible, like the mandates. I think as a freedom-loving American, that’s what I despise the most.
Values are simple. Straightforward. Politics is a way of maintaining a government built on certain values.
Realizing that, Ive reached a point where I dont believe anybody. I dont trust anybody. I wish there was somebody I trusted ...
Aside from the Almighty, the only somebody you can trust is yourself, armed as you are with the leadership of the Almighty. That's the only way things have ever been, any time, any place.
The GOP Rove mind-set wanted me to vote for a politician (Romney) who personified the antithesis of every political and moral value I hold dear. I did my research. That alone is enough to tell the person I trust most that any trust in the likes of Rove is badly placed.
Rove is famous for saying: "Demography is destiny."
It is a dead give-away of the wrong values that guide Rove. Politics played by demographic "gamesmanship" devolve into divisiveness, manipulation, thievery, and tyranny based on categorizing free individuals into "interest" groups. In truth, demography is pretense.
The world over at all times in all societies: morality is destiny.
Romney lost because a moral people rejected him.
If we fail to defund it now, we’ll probably be stuck with it for at least the remainder of Obama’s term. He will fiddle with it personally (and unconstitutionally), but he won’t let the congress touch it. If we don’t get a majority in the House and Senate AND take the presidency in 2016, we’re stuck with it forever or until it bankrupts the nation, or until the demoncrats push through their single payer plan. It’s now or never. Pray the House Republicans are up for the challenge.
Huh? Palin was the first person of national stature to come out and slam the Obamacare Death Panels. She's been one of the most high profile, staunchest, and loudest opponents of Obamacare, since it was signed into law.
Another threat with the same weight as Obamacare, is the environmentalist "save the planet" agenda. Certainly and surely, its goal is to control -- for our own good and welfare, just like nationalized health care -- food AND energy production and consumption. It's already happened to a huge degree in fishing, farming, and oil.
Make it so the American people can neither feed themselves nor energize their infrastructure, but must depend on others, for the good of the planet, of course!
Obamacare is only one front.
Giving Rove any air time only extends the torture of having this drone getting air-time..... Where is the club (i.e., public interest group) to silence Rove?
You didn’t address my Constitutional questions.
Karl Rove is tuned out by Americans with brains!!! Defund Obamacare and tell Rove to put his head where the sun don’t shine!!!
You know what to do, folks.....www.dontfundobamacare.com!!! Rove can take a hike to nowhere!!!

His word and prognostications mean zero!

"Go Mitt. Go Mitt. Go Mitt"
Hannity: “And here he is ladies and gentlemen, The Architect, Karl Rove! How are you my friend?”
Hannity makes me want to puke at times.
Exactly right - Romney even stated that what was legal in Massachusetts was not legal for a Nation. But alas, the person you responded to, and a number of others, are so messed up over hating Mormons that they occasionally turn on Beck because Romney spends so little time in the news.
“Huh? Palin was the first person of national stature to come out and slam the Obamacare Death Panels. She’s been one of the most high profile, staunchest, and loudest opponents of Obamacare, since it was signed into law. “
I can’t agree with you more. But the question is how do you go about getting rid of this draconian law? Tea Partiers, like me, want it defunded right now. But seemingly knowledgeable people who understand how Congress actually works say that’s impossible from the GOP’s current relatively weak position. Are We The People pushing our allies to do something that will hurt us later? Who can advise us on what to push for, is the question. My distrust is of who to take that advise from. I love Sarah Palin, but I’m not sure she has the answer to that particular question.
The system is FUBAR. We will not get relief through the standard civil protocols established by the Framers so long ago. All of those protocols have been subverted and twisted beyond all recognition, to the point where they're now mere illusions kept in place to placate the masses.
No, we've got to take some lessons from the Founding Generation and the Declaration to right this mess.
“No, we’ve got to take some lessons from the Founding Generation and the Declaration to right this mess. “
My sense is that the pendulum is already swinging in the opposite direction. Hopefully it will pass the center point in 2014 and proceed to the opposite side by 2016.
I also have the same sense, and hope to see the pendulum continue to swing in our direction. This time, though, we've got to get more Tea Party types elected. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee could use some reinforcements up there.
“This time, though, we’ve got to get more Tea Party types elected.”
That will be tough to do. The MSM reacts like they’re vampires and tries to drive a stake through their hearts before they can rise from the coffin. One gaff, no matter how tiny, and they’re ash blowing away in the wind.
If we can get Ted Cruz elected to the US Senate, we can get any Tea Partier elected, despite the wailings of the MSM.
We just need to set our jaws and make it happen.
