why are some House republicans see this speech as a surrender? -
“House agrees to send #CR to Senate that defunds Obamacare. @SenTedCruz & @SenMikeLee refuse to fight. Wave white flag and surrender,” tweeted Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.).
“So far Sen Rs are good at getting Facebook likes, and townhalls, not much else. Do something...,” tweeted Rep. Tim Griffin (R-Ark.).
these establishment men?
So Senators Cruz and Lee state the obvious, and the so-called conservative patriots in the House take him to task?
What a bunch of girlie-men.
Senators Cruz and Lee are correct that where this gets stopped is in the House.
Lest we forget, they control the purse strings, the Senate doesn’t.
Furthermore, instead of attacking Senators Cruz and Lee, maybe these House members could focus on not capitulating under any circumstances and forcing Boehner to refuse to surrender as well.
Nawwwww. That would be too simple and straightforward, right?
“these establishment men?”
I wondered too so I went to http://www.govtrack.us/congress/members/sean_duffy/412488 and also the same site for Tim Griffin.
Tim Griffin shows up pretty far right while Duffy shows just a little bit better than Collins. That site is pretty interesting as they place red dots in a cluster on the right and blue ones on the left so you get a visual of where each one is relative to the rest. The dot placements are based on all of each person’s votes.
I found it interesting that Duffy (Wis.) personally attacked Cruz and Lee (but NOT Rubio) in his twitty tweet while the much more conservative Griffin complained about “Sen Rs” in general not doing much.
