you think there is no soul? Or perhaps you think that your collection of memories represented as a tangled web of neurons and synapses is your soul? If either is the case, people should just kill themselves immediately after downloading their memories to a hard drive. Why not? There’s nothing to lose after all. Do you think you could do it? Are you sure that you would be whole after coming back as nothing more than a collection of memories? Or would you just be a vessel full of some dead person’s memories? I think there’s more to us than a collection of memories. There is a mind, a body, and a soul and when the body dies, the soul is gone even if the mind be preserved. You would not be the same after dying. You would not be intact.

Pure. Unequivocal. Speculation. We will find out after the first people try it. I will not be a volunteer, but should it be a success with no ill effects, I would give it serious consideration.
