Convicted Ft. Hood shooter Nidal Hasan gave the $300,000 collected in salary since 2009 to charity, leaving none for his victims or their families.

According to CBS News, an "Army spokesman [says] the military can't get the money back because Hasan, like any other service member charged with a crime," was simply receiving his salary as required until he was convicted.

Hasan's civil attorney John Gilligan added: "There's really no money in any bank that I'm aware of. There's really no property holdings."

In other words, the victims of Hasan's attack will not be getting any funds from their attacker.

Sure, charity. Like Save the Al Quada Society?

No property holdings? Maybe. But then again maybe the land/property was sold for a song or even gifted, with the agreement it will be used for ‘charitable purposes’.

Why doesn’t 0 just give the families money like he just give our taxdollars to the Brotherhood? Shouldn’t be a problem, eh Barry?

In other words, the victims of Hasan's attack will not be getting any funds from their attacker.

They won't be getting any from their government either.

"Army spokesman [says] the military can't get the money back because Hasan, like any other service member charged with a crime," was simply receiving his salary as required until he was convicted.

So when it comes to protecting Hasan, the law is followed to his favor. But when it comes to protecting the families of those servicemen and women with regard to combat benefits, that law is conveniently tossed under the bus.

Sorry, disagree. Do you really want the government to be able to confiscate the salary of someone accused of a crime?
