The results lead me to believe that she is an incompetent. Apparently a whole lot of voters in this Democrat district were upset with her over a whole lot of things besides gun control.
For the most part State Senators and Legislators are voted in based on party affiliation and turnout in what are historically low turnout elections overshadowed by the higher level races.
This person got to run in an election where the focus was on just her and Morse. A LOT of focus. I bet for a lot of voters this was the first time they were really exposed to their own state senator.
And they didn’t like what they saw.
The last legislature really went too far and Denver liberals rammed a lot of things through that blue collar Dems were unhappy about as were Republicans.
One of Giron’s first statements about the recall was that it was a racist act.
““I know it’s partially about me being a Latina and being in this position of authority,” said Giron.”

I’m sure that insulting her voters didn’t make her too popular in her area.
