According to United States Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), “intends to spend $8.7 million of taxpayer funds to promote ObamaCare through advertising across the country in coming months.”
It is unclear why the administration would need to advertise at all for the regulatory overhaul it pushed through congress over the objections of many. Rubio added that the pending marketing campaign would be, “misappropriating public funds in an effort to sell bad ideas to good people.”
