Ft. Stewart is home to the 3rd infantry division. Also close by and in Savannah is Hunter Army Airfield, which is home to 1st battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment amongst others.

Savannah is also home to the Federal Training Center for a ton of alphabet agencies. Then there’s the submarine base down the road. Interesting.

Thanks for the links. Stewart was a real service culture shock for me. I'd been in the guards one drill weekend and went down there. I found out what a 155 full battery fire sounds like at about 1:00am. LOL I was asleep up in the back of the truck when they went off next too me.
