President Obama ordered two more executive actions Thursday to restrict guns, banning the re-importation of military surplus firearms to private entities and proposing a regulation that would close a loophole in background checks.
On the day B. Todd Jones is being sworn in as the new director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the White House said the ATF is proposing to conduct background checks on firearms registered to a trust or corporation. The administration said felons and others prohibited from having firearms currently are able to avoid background checks by choosing this route.
[snip] The orders follow 23 other executive actions on gun control that the White House unveiled in January. In the spring, the Democratic-controlled Senate rejected a proposal to require expanded background checks for gun purchases.

Mr. Obama will see to it protecting your self, your family and your property is no longer viable....so many were left defenseless and sent to labor camps...it took a few years but once enforced by the SS....
I figure the trust or corporation provision is to go after the guns in the NRA museum.
After all, many crimes may have been committed by those museum guns, or the guns owned by Pinkerton and similar security agencies. Well, we can’t have that.
Fast and Furious, anyone? Anyone??
Why would conducting a background check on the firearm make sense? If it's a new gun, for example, it won't have much of a history
the dick tater ha spoken.....
Things that are real problems, he ignores. Things that are NOT problems, he tries to ‘solve’.
I feel so much safer now, knowing that gangs won’t be arming themselves with M1 Garands...
Fortunately, executive orders can be dissolved with the stroke of a pen...if there is ever a Republican President again.
The administration is now saying criminal background checks for employees are “discriminatory” and should be outlawed. So, why not lift them for firearms to? What could possibly go wrong?
He’s just a front person. The shadowy cabal of leftists who snuck him into office make decisions, prepare policies and write speeches for him to present — as if he was really the one doing the work.
And a BIG IF with the current weenies have their way (cept for Cruz and Palin types who are few and far between).
I read this morning where the Kenyan was going to “close a LITTLE KNOWN loophole” with one of his Dumbass Actions. If it’s LITTLE KNOWN, what the heck is the problem? Obama can KMA.
“...the ATF is proposing to conduct background checks on firearms registered to a trust or corporation. The administration said felons and others prohibited from having firearms currently are able to avoid background checks by choosing this route.”
The Fk they can.
Just another way to infringe on the rights of law abiding citizens.
Effing A-hole.
3.2 more years of this Kommunist and his Fascist Dicta’s.
Prig...
NO, the”Trust and corporation” provision is to go after LEGAL machine guns, sawed-off shotguns, short-barrelled rifles, and silencers, that would be bought by people, except that their liberal “Chief Law Enforcement officer” in the area won’t sign permits for Class III purchases. In other words, if your local cops (like the Dallas police!) won’t give you PERMISSION to buy an NFA firearm as an INDIVIDUAL, like a pre-March 1886 machine gun, you COULD still buy one with a corporation or Trust owning it. Now, Hussein Obama wants to close that “Loophole”. Like the so-called “gun show loophole” that also does not exist.
I really wanted one of those Korean Surplus.
If it is RACIST to ask for photo ID to VOTE, then it is RACIST to ask for Photo ID to BUY A GUN!
GOA and NRA are on this like stink on obama.
LLS
They can only go after them if they are registered.
That leads to an obvious counter measure.
There is no legal requirement to incriminate oneself.
I have a really nice M1 Garand that was made in WW2. Get one while you can, the prices are only going to go up.
