Most of the pictures are of tubes for 107mm rockets of which there are 1000s of in Syria. The alternative is laying them on the ground and using sandbags or rubble for elevation. A tip is that if the ‘butt’ end isn’t way lower than the ‘muzzle’ it isn’t a mortar. A 4” hole in the pipe and a battery will be a rocket launcher. Pretty good milling for the 82mm mortars, I wonder what they use for explosive fill. Recycling from other shells would be pretty exciting.

I do know they go out an collect unexpoded shells exploded and recycle them..they have been reported doing so. And no doubt they would with their limitations.

I found it very interesting the innovations they are using to get the job done they want done...certainly crude..but even if only somewhat effective...it’s amazing their determination to win this...and they are at it 24/7.

Sadly though..we are going into this muck and mire..I have no doubt..and not just with a surgical strike...that’s just the match......and why Bo went to get congressional approval....first thing the lawyers said it was too broad...and Obama was quick to settle for any rewording....all he needs is the match...and that he will get....when it all breaks loose he’ll get the whole sha-bang and we’re in a war with only God knows who by then.
