Since no firearms were involved, the story will be buried.
There was a very similar story earlier this summer (?) of a 95 year old WWII vet beaten to death in New York that got decent coverage (at least in the Post and Daily News). Not sure what came of it though, whatever the sentence it will never ease the horror of the initial act.
