How about “We’ll do the same thing the Mexican government would do for an illegal alien family in similar circumstances.”
Unfortunately, the quality of people who would sneak into our country is such that they don't have the slightest clue about their own country's laws.
That answer would baffle the recipient the same way any Constitutional provision or prohibition would baffle the Obama/Holder peeps in discussing lawful political behavior : a blank distant stare...
