Members of Congress are split over whether the U.S. should cut off military aid to Egypt in light of the deadly violence there.
Democratic leaders have generally supported the president's decision to continue the aid, but Rep. Keith Ellison wants to halt it. The Minnesota Democrat tells ABC's "This Week" that the U.S. should "cut off aid but engage in intense diplomacy."
Ellison says aid should be suspended until Egypt ends "the bloodshed in the street" and sets up a path toward democracy. Ellison is the first Muslim elected to Congress and is co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

The aid will not be cut because it is tied up in contracts to American companies and that means jobs are at stake

Ellison must be an extremist. Which side is the question: his Communist side or his Muslim side. I guess it could be both. But then, only Conservatives are allowed to be labeled as extreme.
I admit that it is hard to figure out who is bad and who is worse in the non-Israel ME. But, anyone Keith Ellison doesn’t like can’t be all bad.....

Is it a mere coincidence that these demands from the left to cut off aid began the very day it was reported that the military leadership ordered the destroyed and damaged Christian Coptic Churches to be restored or rebuilt?
Not only are Obama and his Muslim buddies Muslims - they are apparently the most virulent kinds.
They have to support their Christian killing friends as do Juan McManiac and other Rink nitwits.
Ellison? The one that swore his oath of office on a Quran? That Ellison? Does Ellison want aid to end to stop the killing in general or to stop the killing of members of the “Muslim Brotherhood” in particular.
Enquiring minds want to know.
As a side note, I’m sure the Russian would be more than happy to pick up any slack should the U.S. decide to stop military and financial aid to Egypt.
