There can never be effective immigration legislation. As long as there is hunger, miserable poverty and repression on one side and relative prosperity on the other, human beings will cross borders despite the laws or risks to improve their lot. That is understandable. What is not understandable is why once here and convicted of a felony, there is not a consensus to deport them immediately after finishing their prison term.

Give me a break. We are a successful country because of your liberty, free markets, religion, and culture. You sound like a looser that will not stand up for America from this INVASION. WE have a right to defend our selves. CLOSE THE DAM BORDER.

They may try to come here illegally, and some will succeed. But that doesn’t mean we have to allow them access to public services or employment, and it definitely doesn’t mean we have to ever grant them legal status and citizenship.

As long as there is hunger and poverty, we'll also have theft, robbery, and gang activity as well. All of these things are in a sense understandable, but there's no talk of rewarding those responsible for them with amnesty.
