Going from the Garden of Eden's website, it appears it was code inspectors who actually removed items from the property, including plants which weren't in growing beds, mowed the property, removed (their claim) debris (which Garden of Eden people claim as being resources), etc.

Actually, reading their website, their views on property are heavily conservative and anti-government. Which is likely why the raid was conducted - can't let anyone stand up to the government.

In case you haven’t seen this:

“The city police failed to produce a search warrant until more than 2 hours after forcibly entering the premises and the house, while detaining everyone at gunpoint for hours. Technically this is kidnapping.”

A second FR thread on same tomato SWAT raid - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3054589/posts?q=1&;page=51

This is a rural area and the home owner was in contact with the sheriff’s dept. but guess the city police got involved because they had a big bad SWAT team. LE is out of control and these terror strikes on innocent citizens are quickly becoming the norm.

“...it appears it was code inspectors who actually removed items from the property...”

That makes more sense, but having a judge sign off on it and having effectively a SWAT team lead it sounds really dumb.
