“The problem with secret operations is that they are cloaked in secrecy for a reason.”

I agree. If you are going to circumvent the Constitution and rights of +300 million American citizens (and most of the world too), you want to do it in secret.

“Some turd, exposes the operation and makes a wild accusation.

No accusations... actual documents.

“End result? The operation gets scuttled, grave damage may result”

We can only hope, but I doubt it.

“lives could be endangered and in the end you will never get the truth, BECAUSE IT IS SECRET.”

Lives are always endangered. Always will be. The revealed documents are facts. The problem is that it is being done in secret.

I believe the revealed documents are out of context, they are not seen within the purview of the entire operation.

Operatives have been warned off of looking at this stuff which is out of context.

Imagine if you will, what chaos would ensue if someone, started a rumor that you were cheating on your wife, and they sent pictures of you with another woman.

They could be innocent pictures.
Now find a correspondence that has some racy humor in it, perhaps completely innocent.

Trust is gravely damaged.
